With the arrival of the hit driving-sim on new platforms just as it passes its one-year anniversary, the team over at Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have announced that more new content is on the way that both newcomers and veterans alike will enjoy. In this phase, you will travel to Canada and several new maps with some “very special missions.” The aim of the game here is construction, with your missions being centred around providing the resources for brand new buildings in the Canadian wilderness.SnowRunner has successfully launched as of today on Nintendo Switch, and also on Steam. Phase 2 is called ‘Explore and Expand’ and we can expect this DLC to come in a few months – most likely between August and November 2020. Phase 1 is called ‘Search and Recover’ and we expect this DLC to be released soon, with the devs saying it will become available “a few weeks after launch.” This phase will give access to a new map in Taymyr, Russia (the Rift map the PTS got a few weeks ago) and a new mission involving the recovery of a WW2 bomber. You can either purchase the extension DLC all alone or as a component of the SnowRunner Year 2 pass which will likewise open one future and two past satisfied packs. These four phases will be released over the next 12 months and include new maps, vehicles, missions, features and activities. Thankfully, SnowRunner appears to have ticked all the boxes with four unique ‘phases’ acting as DLC drops.
